The Bulgarian flag features three colors and has been used in its current form since the late 1990s. Previously, the flag also included a communist symbol, but this was removed following the fall of the Iron Curtain. The white stripe in the flag represents peace, the green symbolizes the nation's vitality, and the red color stands for the people's bravery.
