The Czech national flag, used by Czechoslovakia until 1992, resembles the Polish flag with its two horizontal stripes of white and red. However, it is distinguished by a blue triangle on the flag's left side, closest to the flagpole. The flag was banned in 1928 but was reintroduced in 1949 following the end of World War II.
