Estonian Flag Enamel Pin

Featuring the Estonian flag in blue, black, and white, this enamel pin is finished with a glossy epoxy coating. A classic tricolor representing Estonia's colors.

The Estonian Flag

The Estonian flag, known as Sinimustvalge (in English, "blue-black-white"), is a tricolor, meaning it consists of three colors. The colors are arranged in horizontal bands in the order of blue on top, black in the middle, and white at the bottom. The flag was created in 1881 but only became the national flag in 1918. Between 1944-1990, the country was under Soviet rule, but when Estonia regained its independence in 1990, it once again adopted this flag as its national symbol.

The blue color symbolizes the Estonian sky, lakes, and sea; black represents the fertile soil of the homeland and the Estonian people's past oppression; and white stands for Estonian virtues, the snow of winter, and Estonia's struggle for freedom and independence - the people's pursuit of happiness and light.

The Nordic countries and Estonia have always shared cultural and historical ties, with close connections between the land and the Nordics. Wearing an Estonian Flag Enamel Pin shows that one is part of this connection.
