Embossed Pins with Soft Enamel - Black Alloy
Introducing our embossed iron pins with soft enamel colors. These slightly lighter pins come at a slightly lower price than our copper pins, especially for orders over 250 pieces. An embossed pin is stamped in relief, similar to a coin. It is in these raised or recessed areas that we can fill in colors. Enamel colors need to be separated by a thin metal wall. We can match precise colors with Pantone colors. You have the option to add an epoxy dome surface to your pins, but the choice is entirely up to you.
After a pin is embossed, it is alloyed with either imitation gold or silver or one of the many other types of alloys we offer. Once it is alloyed, for example with gold, colors can be added into the specially created small spaces.
What's the difference between soft and hard enamel?
We are often asked about the difference between hard enamel and soft enamel. The difference lies in how the colors settle in the recesses of your pin. While soft enamel settles at the bottom, hard enamel fills the spaces more completely. By adding an epoxy layer over your pin, you can make it look a bit more like hard enamel. Take, for example, our pin with the hotdog or the pin with the motorcycle. But remember, it's a bit technical, and you're always welcome to call us for a chat about enamel pins.
